It’s a 1980’s nostalgia-fest at Retro Feasts, where classic British comfort food from the Iron Lady’s era will be resurrected in a new pop-up diner in the West End.
The informal eatery will serve up reworked versions of guilty pleasures of the decade – like the retro Prawn Cocktail, crab on toast and the iconic Black Forest Gateau – but all with a modern, stylish twist. Drink away on Tequila Sunrise and Pina Colada.

When: 8 – 12 May 2013

Price: Food prices promise to be at 1983 levels (drinks are normal price).


Bread and Pull it



In the heart of Stoke Newington Bread and Pull it are cooking dinner for two nights @ babble.jar. Book for either Friday or Saturday, between 7pm and 9pm

So how does it work? There’s small plates – savoury and sweet to share. Choose your main course and include some cheese for a little more coin.

Dishes include Peas, pistachio and mint / Queenie scallops with avocado and lime, and Cornish lamb with aubergine and cumin.

Look who’s back! Our favourite South bank pit-stop. The pop-up is made of old scenery and sets from its productions and serves up some delish English street food classics, such as pan haggerty, pulled pork sandwiches and steak and ale rissoles with prices that will keep you on good terms with your wallet.

The Five Fields



Coming soon to the heart of Chelsea, the restaurant boasts head chef Marcus Wareing. Food is ‘modern and seasonal’.
