Pie week in London

When it comes to pie we certainly know what we’re doing, so get stuck into Pie Week from the 4th March. Here’s a somewhere you can enjoy a pastry treat for every day of the week:

1. Pieminister

Find pie-dedicated eateries in Boxpark near Liverpool Street and St Gabriel’s Warf on the South Bank where there will be pie-based fun and games.

And what’s a food-themed week without an eating contest? How many pies can you scoff in 5 minutes?..

There’ll be a London Eating Challenge with  Pieminister at Boxpark.

2. M.Manze

The oldest pie shop in London, M. Manze (established in 1902) have been around since and has now expanded with cafes in Tower Bridge, Sutton and Peckham

3. The Windmill Pub

Located in the heart of Mayfair, yet with a down-to-earth vibe, this pub has three-times been the winner of the National Pie award – if that’s not a reason to go…

For Pie Week you can grab a homemade pie with mash or chips and half a beer for a bargain £11.

4. The Mall Tavern

Voted by GQ as “the best pie shop in the South East”, here you can also enjoy some retro dishes, of course this week it seems mandatory to opt for the Cow Pie, but there’s also some other old school eats on there to enjoy another time, like the chicken kiev or artic roll.

5. The Crooked Well

This Camberwell-based pub is dedicated to British grub. Here you can tuck into a sharing pie for two like Rabbit & bacon.

6. G.Kelly

Pie and mash all the way at this Bethnal Green shop, which, around for 70 years, boasts many pie-loving regulars.

7. Cockney’s Pie & Mash

It’s always nice to find a casual, welcoming eatery in the West end to get a break from the fancyness – here you can grab a hearty pie and mash dish for a reasonable price.
